Beta-1,3/1,6-glucan is a polysaccharide isolated from the cell wall of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The immunity stimulation by Beta-1,3/1,6-glucan consists of increasing the activity of macrophages, which ‘devour’ foreign cells (germs). The increased number of immunity cells in a place where pathogens occur stabilize inflammations and deactivate antigens. Beta-1,3/1,6-glucan enhances the effects of preparations used to treat infectious diseases and cancer, and accelerates the tissue regeneration.
